Well protected prescription eyeglass types for indoor/outdoor use?

I am a pretty active person and when I work inside and out, I have the dilemma of taking off my large lens sunglasses for the use of readers. I would like a better more protected option for the sake of UV protection.

  1. Hi

    Hi stillatit,

I use the Sleep ZM DaytimeMax Clip-On Blue Light Glasses clip ons.

They are yellow tinted and they transition to gray when outside. They give you UV and blue light protection and the yellow tinting is also good for night time driving as well. Since they transition there is no need to take them off when you are inside. I read somewhere that yellow tinted glasses are good for those with AMD.

  2. Hi I forgot to mention that they also come in a over the eye glass version

Both options will only work if you are using progressive readers so as to not to have to take the eyeglasses on and off when going from from outside to inside.

If your readers are not progressive you can get non prescription progressive readers from amazon or walmart.com.

  3. Thank you, Karen. It is a really vague kind of problem sometimes. Happy Thanksgiving too.

  4. I wear prescription glasses eith transition lenses, and when outside I wear sunglasses over my prescription glasses. I have several different shades of over the glasses sunglasses depending on if it is really sunny or cloudy. I also have yellow lens over the glasses for nights.
